(Please Note: this database of venues and transport operators policies towards medical cannabis is for information purposes only and is strictly not legal, nor medical advice.)
This 'patient-friendly' service provider list has been compiled with the aims of demonstrating the types of responses that fellow patients have received when addressing their own individual accessiblity needs. Neither myself, nor UKMC.Support, can take responsibility for any situations, discrimination or legal issues which may arise as a result of relying on the below information.
Please approach your own situation with the care and consideration it deserves: you should seek legal advice if neccesary, and always report discrimination and/or make a complaint to the service provider if you are unfairly denied.
Below you will find the responses that myself and various other patients have received when addressing our own individual accessibility needs, or when approaching certain venues to ask what their policy is. In the interests of keeping things organised, I have kept them in alphabetical order.
Icon Guide:
β
= Service provider is medical cannabis friendly, and
β = Service provider is NOT medical cannabis friendly, and
β = Service provider has NOT YET declared whether they are medical cannabis friendly
Please Note: All patients are encourage to contact the venue they intend to visit themselves in order to request reasonable adjustments for their medication, and/or to seek the advice of a legal professional in the event of any discrimination or barriers to accessibility.

β | Alton Towers | Theme Park | Stoke-on-Trent ST10 4DB |
Info for Patients: | Alton Towers have informed me that they will allow medical cannabis patients to visit their theme park. They are looking to roll out this policy across the whole of the Merlin Group resort theme parks (Lego Land etc.) and not just Alton Towers. They have proposed a 'security assured medical cannabis' card which can be issued to medical cannabis patients at the gate, upon having their bags inspected; and this can be presented to any staff or park guests (if they question the patients medical cannabis use). I believe this is a huge step in the right direction for awareness and education towards medical cannabis; and so I support this proposal. I would advise contacting the park in advance in order to create an accessibility booking, and to inform them of your medical cannabis patient status; however, in the future, once this policy is introduced, I imagine it will be less important to provide them with prior notice of your visit. | Confirmation

Info for Patients: | The Lowry were welcoming of me as a medical patient. I contacted them in advance and was told there wouldn't be a problem. I was asked not to vape inside the theatre; which I did out of respect for fellow theatre-goers. All around it was a positive experience. They did ask me to leave my medical cannabis in the cloak-room, however for legal and safety reasons I opted not to; and instead kept in on my person. | Confirmation

β | Trafford Centre | Shopping, Social | Manchester M17 8EH |
Info for Patients: | The Trafford Centre staff are extremely welcoming and appear to be trained to a very high standard; particularly when dealing with guests with disabilities and other specific requirements. Every visit I have personally had with them has been excellent. I would advise contacting them in advance to make them aware of your planned attendance, however, from experience this isn't neccesarily a requirement; as I have found a quick conversation with any enquiring staff is enough to ease their concerns and allow you to continue with your day. I have the impression that you will most likely be okay to attend without contacting them in advance — so long as you are prepared to explain your legal status as a medical cannabis patient if confronted. | Confirmation

I have tried to keep an accurate and up to date record of venue and transport operator policies. Records are up to date at the time of updating this table (on March 27th 2024, 01:50pm), however, I can make no guarantees that the venue will not change their stance or policy going forward.
If you have found a venue or transport operator to have given you a different response to what is described above, or if they have potentially discriminated against you by denying your right to possess and consume your medication; please reach out and let me know so that I can keep an accurate record. I am interested in hearing about all successes, denials and horror stories.

If we've missed any reputable support group(s) from our list, please reach out to us and share the details!
Are we missing someone or something from our list? Please get in touch and let us know, we're always more than happy to update our database with useful links and educational websites for patients to access.
Please Note: Our Discord Server is a friendly and welcoming, safe space; for adult (18+) medical cannabis patients who are legally prescribed or are prospective patients. We ask for all community members to try to be tolerant of others; and to share our ambition of creating a safe space for patients to relax and express themselves freely.
Whilst our community is here to support each other and foster a welcoming environment β we cannot censor legitimate opinions or reasonable adult behaviours. Please bear this in mind when browsing the discord; as occasionally topics may be discussed which make you uncomfortable. We do however hope that our community remains a positive and safe space for patients to continue to socialise with friends, and find respite from their day-to-day troubles; among like-minded medical cannabis patients.
Please be sure to read and agree to the rules upon joining (we've kept them as honest and simple as possible, but may need to update them from time to time).
Unfortunately, there's no technology in the world that can accurately analyse the contents of your medical cannabis based on an uploaded image alone!
Measuring the specific cannabinoid content of your medicinal flos is a complex process which takes a number of factors into consideration; and no such data is provided by uploading a single image.
We hope that you don't mind us jesting like this — and we trust that you will find entertainment in the learning experience.
If you really would like to test your flowers yourself; there are several reputable products available on the internet which are designed for this exact purpose. All of these devices usually rely on you inserting a quantity of medicine into a chamber or measuring capsule, and will use some kind of spectrometry or chromatography to produce a rough estimation of cannabinoid content. We do not know of any of them that work reliably based on a photo alone — and would never recommend any product to you which relies on using your mobile phone device's camera.
Self-testing devices should not be assumed to be scientifically accurate unless they come with such guarantees from the manufacturer. At best they should be used as a rough estimate; and so long as their limitations are acknowledged, they can be useful for making quick comparisons. Results gathered this way are not a reliable replacement for a verified Certificate of Analysis (CoA) which the manufactuer, clinic and pharmacy has access to.
For patients wishing to discover the total THC/CBD content for their prescribed medicine (incl. other cannabinoids & terpenes), we would advise contacting the prescribing clinic or pharmacy, referring to the Patient Information Leaflet (PIL) or scanning any QR codes or barcodes on the packaging (as these usually link to information sheets about the product).

If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
